Tour du Mont Blanc West, half circuit, guided 2017

The Western part of the classic Tour du Mont Blanc trek, 4 days walking starting in Chamonix and finishing in Courmayeur

Setting off from Chamonix in France, the Western half-circuit follows the same itinerary as the classic Tour du Mont Blanc into Italy and finish in Courmayeur. The half-circuit TMB is perfect for those wishing to complete the full classic Tour du Mont Blanc trek but prefer to do it in two shorter parts. It is also very suitable for anyone who is looking for short-ish hut-to-hut walking holiday in the Alps, whether first-timers or experienced.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Meeting in Chamonix
Meet with your guide and tour leader in our hotel for welcome, equipment check and a briefing on the Tour du Mont Blanc ahead. Your evening is free to explore the many bars and restaurants in Chamonix. Night in hotel.

Day 2: From Chamonix to Les Houches
Our trip starts with a cable car ride that takes us up to nearly 2000 meters. Here, above the tree line, we begin a stunning high level traverse above the Chamonix valley with exceptional views of Mont Blanc. We descend to the village Les Houches and our hotel for the night. (B+D)
